Photo Friday: Travels in Norway’s Lofoten Islands

This postcard-like photo was taken near the village of Ballstad, in Norway’s Lofoten Islands, located at the 68th and 69th parallels north of the Arctic Circle.

Ballstad features an abundance of cod drying racks and fishing boats surrounded by crystal clear water.

Winter temperatures in Lofoten are mild considering their far northern location above the Arctic Circle.

We enjoyed the view with an Arctic Beer on the deck of Havets Halter pub.
