Having a birthday in the middle of spring break has always had its perks. I have had the luxury of traveling to a variety of places–Colorado, Padre Island, and Mexico to name a few–to celebrate my birthdays with both friends and family. One of my favorite birthdays abroad was my 19th birthday, which I got to spend touring through Italy.
We kicked off our tour with Assisi and Florence. Next up? Pisa and Rome!
We were in Pisa during the actual day of my birthday. Seeing the Leaning Tower was definitely the best birthday present I could have asked for!
I wish we could’ve spend more time here, the people were open, welcoming, and very excited it was my birthday!
The owner of the restaurant wanted to personally wish me a happy 19th birthday, as well as make sure my birthday lunch was perfect!
Sadly, we had to leave eventually… But up next was Rome!
The coliseum was a must-see, of course.
