4 Best Attractions in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Dells is one of the funnest and most affordable vacation locations in the Midwest of the U.S.  It has so many unique attractions all in one city is a great place to relax with the whole family.  From water parks and theme parks to downtown shopping and tours of all kinds, the city is perfect for a short vacation or a longer getaway.

Here are my 4 Favorite Attractions at the Wisconsin Dells

1.  The “Top Secret” Tour of White House Replica

This tour is one of the most unique attractions I’ve visited.  For a low price, tour guides take visitors through an upside-down White House that, on the outside, appears to have been through an earthquake.  Outside, people will find an abandoned limousine and a wrecked car as well as a lifelike Tyrannosaurus-Rex.  The interesting and unique attraction has rooms inside the tour that are also upside-down and wrecked.  Eventually, visitors walk through an area of dinosaurs which is relates to the T-Rex.  Overall, this tour is a lot of fun, and I’ve never seen anything like it before.

2.  Downtown Wisconsin Dells

Whenever I visit Wisconsin Dells, I always walk through the downtown area.  The street is filled with numerous shops that sell t-shirts of all kinds as well as other trinkets, and even hermit crabs.  Everything is sold at low prices, and there are also a number of terrific restaurants including a cheesecake shop.

Visitors will also find Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and Wizard Quest which are both fun attractions for families.  If you’re looking for a scare, there a few haunted houses as well.  These are only a few of the many things to do in downtown Wisconsin Dells.

3.  Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park

Mt. Olympus is arguably the main attraction in Wisconsin Dells.  The water and theme park is huge and offers many fun things that everyone will enjoy.  As visitors enter the park, there a number of roller coasters with Greek names including Zeus, Cyclops, Pegasus, and the most intense one, Hades.  There are many go-kart tracks and kid rides as well.

As you continue to walk, you will find Poseidon’s Rage which is the huge wave pool pictured above.  There are also a number of water slides indoors and outdoors as well as an indoor theme park.

4.  Original Wisconsin Dells Duck Boat Tours

There a number of different boat tours in Wisconsin Dells that take visitors on adventures via both land and water, but the original, infamous Wisconsin Duck Boats are the best in my opinion.  The vehicles are equipped to travel on land and in the water allowing for scenic views on the river.  It’s a trip that you won’t forget as you take in the scenery and history of the city of Wisconsin Dells.
