Recently, we made a quick weekend trip to St. Petersburg, Florida, a destination that we had not explored before.
We stayed two nights in the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront Hotel, which is located in downtown St. Petersburg near the waterfront, the Dali Museum and Tropicana Field baseball and soccer stadium.
Our room was on the 14th floor of the 15 floor hotel.
Here’s a look inside room 1418.
When you step into the room, you see a mix of dark and light decor. We both loved that cool lamp on the work desk.
Nice and comfy king-size bed with good bedside lighting and plugs on each side.
The bathroom was small but nicely decorated. We love those toiletries by skin care mogul Peter Thomas Roth.
For us, the best parts of the St. Petersburg Bayfront Hilton hotel were outside of our room. The Executive Lounge on the 15th floor was quite impressive. Open all day and night (with key card access), it is a large and spacious room with views in all directions.
Coffee, bottled water, sodas and other beverages are always available, and there is a nightly cocktail hour, which we did not attend.
Daytime views (even on overcast, rainy days) are terrific from the executive lounge.
The outdoor pool is heated, and also has a fire pit/lounge area that looked fun.
In the first floor area, you will find the Dalí Bar, inspired by, and named after the artist. We appreciated the terrific bartender; along with spectacular service she provided many tips on the local dining scene and weekend activities in downtown St. Petersburg.
Best of all, when the sun comes out, the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront is a short walk to an amazing waterfront.
