Video: Getting a Taste of the Culture of Mexico

One of the cultures that I know quite a bit about is the culture of Mexico.  This video (that my friend kindly let me use) portrays Mexico’s culture very well, and shows its importance to the citizens of the country.

In the video, a large crown of people from Zamora, Michoací¡n, Mexico take part in a walk from their homes to the city’s cathedral where a mass is held.  The people bring flowers and pray while celebrating their heritage.

As seen in the video, Mexico has a very rich culture.  One day, I hope to experience it for myself, but hearing stories and learning about Mexico is a great way to start.

Here are a few other ways learn about the culture of Mexico.

1.  Watch Novelas (Spanish Soap Operas)

2.  Learn the Language

3.  Read anything and everything about the culture.

4.  Visit the country of Mexico, especially during the months between October and January when many cultural events occur.
