Today: One little thing that makes any flight better
Last week I was on four different flights, each packed with cranky babies and grumpy, harried fellow passengers.
Yet the noise didn’t bother me. I was oblivious and in my own little productive world. Why?
I finally used a set of tiny noise isolating headphones for my iPhone. These headphones aren’t new. I’ve had them for a year and a half, a gift from Mr. Jones who insisted how great they were for canceling noise and having better conversations on the iPhone.
I’ve used them for calls. But until I used them last week to listen to an audio file and music on noisy flights, little did I understand their power. These tiny little ear phones that fit in my pocket allow me to tune out everything around me.

It’s also an ideal spot to view the city, Cook Inlet and Mount McKinley.

Accessed from 2nd Avenue, the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail runs more than 10 miles from downtown Anchorage to Kincaid Park. The tides and corresponding mud flats attract a waterfowl and other wildlife.
